Ms. Nelson joined Wilcox Miller & Nelson in 2000 as Vice President Career Management and Career Transition, leading the career transition function for the firm. Ms. Nelson has focused professionally on career development, career transition planning and coaching. Her areas of expertise include one-to-one coaching with executives, career focus facilitation and assimilation coaching. Ms. Nelson’s coaching experience has been across industries, including health care.
She also oversees the quality of career transition service delivery, project management and leads a team of consultants who have extensive experience in working with diverse populations. Additionally, Ms. Nelson has led client sponsored Career Center Projects providing a wide range of services to both operational employees and senior level managers.
Prior to joining Wilcox Miller & Nelson, Ms. Nelson spent eight years in health care consulting responsible for negotiating provider contracts, developing provider networks and working with organizations on designing compensation and benefit packages. She has extensive experience in managing client services functions within large companies.
Ms. Nelson holds a Bachelor’s degree from Loma Linda University. She has completed her coaching training at The Coaches Training Institute. She is certified in Management Resource Group’s LEA suite of instruments, including 360, Lominger’s Voices 360 and Bigby-Havis ASSESS. She is a member of The International Coaching Federation, serves on the Catholic Healthcare West Home Health and Hospice Professional Advisory Board and is active in the Sacramento Metro Chamber.
